November Lakeside Hunter Jumper Show!

We took 3 horses to this show, Trey, Gracie and Chacao and all of the horses were amazing! This was Chacao's first time off of
the farm and he was very well behaved. He came home with two 5th place ribbons! Trey placed in all of his classes Sunday
ranging from 2nd to 6th place and only missing reserve champion by 1 point! Gracie also came home with several ribbons
including two from her classic division!
We are planning to go back in December so make sure you let Whitney know early if you want to go so we can make plans!! You
don't want to miss the fun!!
Winter News!!

We are very excited to announce that our arena now has lights!! They are up and running and will make winter riding much             more
enjoyable for everyone who has to work all day!!
Midsouth Team Challenge

I am so, so proud of how Regal's first season as an event horse ended! She has grown up so much since her first event in July!!
Midsouth is known as one of the hardest shows of the season and Regal proved she was ready for it! She had a great dressage
test, putting her in 4th place out of a large division. She had one rail in stadium, which was totally my fault and then on to her first
double clean cross country round at only her second novice event to finish out the weekend in 6th place! Our team also placed 4th
out of 30+ novice teams!
Winter Plans!

Now that our event season is over we will be heading to Lakeside Arena in Frankfort, KY for some Hunter/ Jumper shows to keep the
horses tuned up over winter and to get the babies out and ready for next season! You can find dates and showbills at their website
www.lakesidearena.com.

Sad, sad news

It is with a heavy, heavy heart that I say that we have lost Sunny, my upper level event horse. He died suddenly and
unexpectedly Thursday, January 21 to a suspected rupture in his heart. Anyone close to me knows how very special he was
to me. Sunny had just had an amazing 3rd placing in May at his first prelim event back since recovering from a torn
suspensory. After that show he developed another lameness problem in his back. Three weeks before I lost him a vet was
finally able to find the cause of his lameness. He was treated and I will be forever grateful for the few last hacks I had with him.
Sunny was my horse of a lifetime and I feel so incredibly lucky that I had the privilege of owning him. Our 9 years together
were absolutely incredible, he went from a wild ex racehorse to the best partner I could ever ask for. He was truly my best
friend. Thank you to everyone for your support during this time. Sunny will be missed by us all more than words can say.
